The Colombian artist was accused of being stingy and other controversial things by a former employee who worked with her in Spain.
Since Shakira separated from Gerard Piqué, she has captured all the attention of the press, not only focused on her scandalous presence but also on everything regarding her musical career that she once again positioned herself at the top.

However, that does not mean that Shakira is not once again involved in some controversy with the people who worked for her at some point. Recently, a former employee decided to come out and talk about what it's like in the privacy of her work and it didn't make her look very good.
It is not the first time that someone from the singer's work team has claimed that she is not an easy person and that she has certain diva manias like a large part of celebrities. The person who destroyed her on this occasion is called Cristina Cárdenas and she held the position of figuration coordinator in the filming of advertisements in Spain.
"I've spent four years working closely with Shakira," the woman began explaining during a conversation with journalist Pepe del Real, "specifically in the realm of advertising. It was quite a challenging experience. She had some rather unusual requests; for instance, she insisted that extras, as per the contract, should turn and face the wall when she passed by. It's hard to find words to describe it."
"When you're instructed not to approach her or make eye contact, or when she removes a girl from the set just because she stands out more than her, subjecting her to humiliation and pointing fingers, it becomes evident that she might not be the most professional," lamented the former employee, clearly upset by her experiences with Shakira.
Cárdenas also touched upon Shakira's relationship with Gerard Piqué, saying, "She's a woman with many fears and insecurities. In reality, we can't fully comprehend what that family has been through, or the challenges Gerard has faced."
In conclusion, she asserted that the artist is perhaps one of the most frugal women out there, expressing doubt about whether Shakira actually paid the one million euros to her children's caretaker, Lili Melgar, for the use of her name and image in her latest video.
