After getting married in June 2022, Britney Spears, 41, and Sam Asghari, 29, have gone their separate ways.
It has been confirmed that the fitness instructor has filed for divorce from the singer, and the reason for their separation is overwhelming.
The couple had met back in 2016, on the set of the singer's Slumber Party music video. Britney had previously revealed that she initiated contact with Sam by texting him after five months. She recalled in 2017: “I was like, ‘he was really cute, this guy was really cute,’ so I called him. He is a very fun and funny person.”
Throughout their relationship, Asghari was noted to be very supportive of the pop star. A close source had noted: “There is no doubt that Sam is great for Britney. He has a very positive influence on her. He is very motivated to stay healthy and fit, and they often exercise together.”
Although they seemed like the perfect couple, it is claimed that the duo have had issues for some time now. A confidential source has stated: “Their marriage has been in crisis for months. There has been constant drama. It's sad".
However, what seems to have really triggered the split, according to a source, was a “nuclear argument” in which Asghari had accused the Hit Me Baby One More Time singer of infidelity. The 29-year-old would have moved later.
