According to her mother Lindsay Lohan, the root of her daughter's problems is because he witnessed her ex-husband, Michael Lohan, abuse her.

"Lindsay saw a lot of very intense things that's why she is 'damaged', I want the world to know the root of her problems," confessed Dina, Lindsay Lohan's mother to the New York Daily News.
Likewise, she claimed that Michael abused her physically and psychologically and even claimed that not only her but also her four children, in addition to s- abusing her. To be exact, she confessed that she remembered that it happened on February 14, 1990, while her children were in adjoining rooms.
According to everything she talked about during the interview, Lindsay was present in all the fights they experienced: "Lindsay saw all the beatings and all the abuse. She told me: 'Stay mommy, don't leave.'"
The mother has how to prove the abuse
The stormy relationship between Lindsay Lohan and her father is nothing more than the consequence of the number of occasions in which Michael, the actress's father, has abused the family in different ways.
For his part, he has always denied the accusations. However, Dina has papers and even medical reports from the police that support her versions where, indeed, it was confirmed that she was beaten and raped.
