Sharon Stone is going through an economic crisis and could not hold back tears at a recent event. And while it's sad news, she reminds us that even Hollywood stars can face financial problems.
Our hearts go out to Sharon at this difficult time and we have been truly touched by her bravery and honesty.
Sharon, who received the Courage Award at an event in aid of the Women's Cancer Foundation, took the stage and gave a heartfelt speech. As she encouraged the audience at the gala to donate money to a good cause, she noted: “I know that thing about you having to figure out how to send the money is difficult.” She then added, “I'm a technical idiot, but I know how to sign a check,” and she acknowledged that it took courage to donate money.
In fact, Stone had no qualms about speaking publicly about her own financial problems.
The 65-year-old actress was overwhelmed by her emotions and teared up as she revealed: "I just lost half of my money, and that doesn't mean I'm not here."
In addition to her financial problems, Sharon has recently had to face another great tragedy. Just a few weeks ago, her younger brother Patrick died of a heart attack at the age of 57.
The heartbroken actress posted an old photo on Instagram in which she appears hugging her brother with the following message: “RIP my brother Patrick Joseph Stone.”
She also became emotional as she posted a video to confirm the sad news. Sharon thanked her fans for supporting her "in this moment of immeasurable pain."
The death of her brother followed another devastating event in the family. In 2021, Patrick's own son River, Sharon's nephew, died at 11 months of “total organ failure.”
Although she has been facing all these tragic events and challenges lately, the actress still sees the bright side of things and tries to add a pinch of humor whenever she can.
Just a few days ago, on March 10, Sharon celebrated her 65th birthday. To celebrate, she posted a couple of photos on Instagram with a birthday balloon of hers. She added a comical touch to photos of her wearing fake wax lips and wrote: “I've gone to Hollywood.” Her hilarious post sparked many affectionate reactions from her fans since she left no one indifferent.
