The Great Love of Frank Sinatra's Life in Cinema

It is more than clear that the man called Frank Sinatra became a legend of song worldwide, but he also had great women throughout his life and it is worth wondering which of them was his great love.

Last May 14 marked the 25th anniversary of the death of the man known as “The Voice”, who dominated the style that is characterized by the use of soft, closed singing that does not require a voice projection, earning him the nickname crooner.

Sinatra had loves at different times in his life and they meant a lot at each stage. He started with Nancy Barbato, his first wife, with whom he married in 1943 and had his only three children: Nancy, Frank, and Tina, but they separated in 1951 after rumors of the singer's infidelity with the renowned Hollywood actress Ava Gardner.

Frank and Ava were married, but they were unfaithful to each other for a long time, engulfed by their star status. They were married for six years, but it was well known that she was the great love of “The Voice.”

Then rumors of an affair with Marilyn Monroe appeared in 1961, and the popularity of both made fertile ground for this type of shipping, but he did have a “fugitive love” with Lauren Bacall, partner of Humphrey Bogart, one of his best friends.

Being a living legend, in 1966, Sinatra got married again. Mia Farrow is the daughter of Australian film director John Farrow and Irish actress Maureen O'Sullivan, and she met the singer in those settings. She was 21 and he was 51 by the time they walked down the aisle, but they barely made it past their first anniversary before their divorce. She and she is the only one of all the interpreter's wives who is still alive today.

Beyond all these names, the woman who accompanied Frank until the end of his days was the American model, dancer, and socialite Barbara Marx. They married her in 1976 and she became known as Barbara Sinatra, until an illness took her from this world in 2017.

They say that behind a great man, there is a great woman behind. But the case of Frank Sinatra was one where several ladies supported "The Voice" at different times of his career and his stay on this plane.
