The price Jennifer Lawrence had to pay after achieving fame

Jennifer Lawrence rose to fame after playing Katniss Everdeen in the 'Hunger Games' saga and admitted that after the first film in 2012, she felt like “a commodity” because there were so many people involved in the decision-making about his professional life.

"I believe I relinquished my sense of control. From the time 'The Hunger Games' was released to my Oscar win for 'Silver Linings Playbook' in 2012, I became such a commodity that it seemed like every decision had to be made collectively. Looking back now, I can't help but feel a void in the years that ensued—it was a period marked by a loss of personal agency," she stated.

But now, the 'Don't Look Up' star feels like she got her identity back again, as she finally feels personal after a long time.

Following that, the actress can be seen in 'Causeway', a drama that follows a soldier struggling to adjust to being home after leaving combat with a brain injury, and also produced the film under the banner 'Excellent Corpse'.

“It's a Sicilian mafia term for hitting a big celebrity. It just made sense. I think there was a part of me that wanted to execute that part of me,” she commented.

Lawrence also praised Robert De Niro for the way the movie legend calmed her nerves when they worked together on 'Silver Linings Playbook.'

“He is a warm and sweet person. Obviously, he's very intimidating (working with De Niro), but as soon as you meet him, he's like, 'Call me Bob,'" Lawrence said.

Although it's been almost a decade since Jennifer Lawrence won the Best Actress Oscar for her work in that film, she admitted that her achievement still hasn't sunk in.
