The scene between Lady Gaga and Salma Hayake was cut from House of Gucci

2021 featured two great Ridley Scott films, The Last Duel and House of Gucci. The first film did not perform well at the box office, but the second did. The public had more affinity for the biographical history of the Gucci family than for the dueling French knights.

In addition to the box office, House of Gucci also won nominations at several awards shows, such as the SAGs. Now, to add more power to Scott's film, the existence of a deleted scene is revealed, where an encounter occurs between the characters of Lady Gaga and Salma Hayek, Patrizia Reggiani and Giuseppina "Pina" Auriemma, the TV psychic.

During a screening of House of Gucci, which featured its main stars Lady Gaga, Salma Hayek, Camille Cottin, Jeremy Irons, Adam Driver, and Jared Leto, they talked about different aspects of the film and the scenes that never saw the light of day, like Patrizia and Pina's. According to Gaga, the scenes were filmed and she does not know why Scott removed her from the final footage.

"There's a whole side to this movie that you haven't seen, where Pina and I develop a relationship. Okay, yeah, director's cut, who knows. But this is a testament to (Ridley Scott) as a director because he gave us allowed me to go there. I remember being on the set with Salma and going, so, after Maurizio dies, maybe... is it hot?" Lady Gaga related. To second her castmate, Hayek fired off "Do you think he's joking?".

It is unknown why Scott did not include the scene, probably because the film was too long; it is worth remembering that House of Gucci has a duration of 2 hours and 38 minutes. In any case, the director always saves extra material from his films and then they are released in special editions, as happened with Alien (1979), Blade Runner (1982), among others. So it wouldn't be surprising if a director's cut of House of Gucci appears shortly with the scenes removed.
