The protagonist of 'La La Land' revealed the circumstances in which she met the actress from 'The Hunger Games' and that they spent a whole year chatting until they were able to see each other face to face.
Great friendships sometimes arise in the least expected ways. At the height of #MeToo, Hollywood also had to face other types of controversies such as wage gaps, the reduced number of female workers in the film industry, and the daily abuse and harassment suffered by actresses. Amid this context, Emma Stone met Jennifer Lawrence through a chance situation that, fortunately, was left behind and managed to form a great friendship between the actresses.
Today they are two of the most admired and recognized actresses of their generation, but far from competing, they are close friends and often speak wonders about each other in interviews. Emma Stone revealed how she became so close to Jennifer Lawrence. And the reason surprised many of her followers: they were harassed by the same man.
In an extensive interview with W magazine, Stone confessed the chilling origin of her close friendship with her colleague, who also has an Oscar in her house. “Jennifer and I had the same stalker, John ‘the Orchestra Man,’” the actress revealed to the publication.
Amid the S- harassment and abuse scandal that shook Hollywood and that seems to have no end, the words of the popular actress show that harassers do not only commit their abuse face to face. “He would text us both, saying things like, 'I'm late for soundcheck.' Could you warm up the orchestra for me? Answer me so I know you received it,'” the award-winning actress told the publication.
Although she never knew for sure who was behind those chilling messages that arrived daily on her personal phone, the protagonist of Se dice de mi conjectured: “Maybe she worked in a studio or something like that, because she had the number of many people. ”.
They did not know that the same man was harassing them and that is why they were afraid to answer their cell phones. “Jen and I messaged for a year before we met,” Stone explained. Despite sharing many red carpets, the actresses did not know each other personally but had been chatting for a year. And it wasn't until the first face-to-face meeting came that they discovered that they were victims of the same stalker.
“When I told Jen to come to my house, she thought, 'Oh my God, what if it's John the Orchestra Man?' And I thought, 'My God, what if it's John the Orchestra Man.' So Jen called me and said, 'I just wanted to make sure you weren't Orchestra Man John.' And she wasn't. That's how we met. “It is our adorable love story,” she said ironically.
