An unidentified aspiring actress filed a fresh lawsuit against Harvey Weinstein and his New York-based company, citing s- assault, gender violence, and other allegations.
In the legal document, the plaintiff claimed the first incident occurred during the 2013 Sundance Film Festival in the hotel room where Weinstein was staying. He purportedly assured her of a romantic encounter with Jennifer Lawrence, stating, "I slept with Jennifer Lawrence, and look where she is. She just won an Oscar."
The lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles County, California, alleged that Weinstein invited the woman to his room to discuss a potential film role, similar to the experiences of other alleged victims.
The document further claimed that, after two hours, Weinstein followed her to the health service area. There, he allegedly exposed himself, telling her, "I like looking at you." It also detailed an incident where Weinstein allegedly masturbated and ejaculated on the actress's blouse after she rejected his advances. He purportedly insisted they must remain friends if she wanted a career in the film industry.
The plaintiff stated that Weinstein invited her to a restaurant the following day, despite her fear of potential career repercussions if she angered him.
The lawsuit outlined another incident where Weinstein followed the woman to a bathroom, forcibly grabbing her and making advances. He allegedly invited her to multiple meetings in New York, offering a potential job.
In a particularly disturbing incident in New York, after discussing a potential role in "Vampire Academy," Weinstein lured her to his office under the pretense of giving her a script. There, he allegedly assaulted her against her will, even as she cried. It was during this encounter that he reportedly made the comment about Jennifer Lawrence.
A spokesperson for Weinstein has denied the allegations in the lawsuit, labeling them as "malicious claims" and asserting that Weinstein had only maintained a professional and respectful relationship with Jennifer Lawrence, expressing embarrassment for her involvement in this "defamation attempt."
