Many think that Lady Gaga is synonymous with boldness, shine, and glamour. Whether with a meat dress or some other unconventional accessory, the singer always finds a new way to surprise.
This year she was nominated for an Oscar in the category of Best Original Song for the hit Hold My Hand, from the soundtrack of Top Gun: Maverick, but she contradicted expectations and appeared on stage without makeup and in jeans, a look without pretensions and quite strange when it comes to the singer.
Initially, Lady Gaga would not attend the Oscar ceremony because she was too busy filming the movie Joker: Folie à Deux, the sequel to Joker. However, three days before the event the singer sent a message to the producers and told them that, although she did not have time to put on a very extravagant performance, she would make an appearance. No sooner said than done. To the surprise of fans and celebrities in attendance, Lady Gaga made a last-minute appearance and, as usual, left the audience speechless with her performance.
For the red carpet of the 95th edition of the Oscars, which as of this year changed its colors to beige, the star of The House of Gucci opted for a totally glamorous change of look and chose to wear a black Versace outfit. The sheer corseted dress had a low-cut skirt and featured the world-famous brand's famous Medusa logo.
When she took the stage to perform her Oscar-nominated song, Lady Gaga ditched glamorous makeup in favor of a natural face, a black T-shirt, and ripped jeans paired with sneakers. According to the show's producers, the singer did this because she “wanted it to be raw and for people to see the real Lady Gaga.”
The song Hold My Hand was composed by Lady Gaga in the basement of her studio, along with a friend of hers. She shared: “It's something very personal to me. I think we all need each other. We need a lot of love to walk through this life. And we all need a hero sometimes. But you may discover that you can be your own hero, even if you feel broken.”
