The accusations against her originate from the income she received during the years 2012 to 2014. Therefore, Shakira must appear at the National Court of Barcelona, which scheduled 12 sessions that will take place between November 20 and Friday, December 15. from 2023.

If Shakira is found guilty of the charges, she could face a sentence of between eight years and two months in prison. She could also have to pay a fine of close to 24 million euros.
