Tom Cruise has dispelled what he deems the strangest rumor circulating about him in the film industry.

Contrary to recent speculations suggesting that Cruise is so intense on film sets that he prohibits his co-stars from making eye contact, the actor addressed the matter in an interview with The Times.

Tom Cruise has dispelled what he deems the strangest rumor circulating about him in the film industry.

Joined by collaborators Christopher McQuarrie and Simon Pegg, as they discussed the film "Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One," Cruise refuted the eye-avoidance rumor, with Pegg playing down the alleged intensity.

When prompted to reveal the oddest rumor he'd ever heard about himself, Cruise expressed his bewilderment at the notion that people "were not allowed to look me in the eye" during filming.

Pegg, shedding light on Cruise's persona, remarked, "I've been able to work my way through all the strange mythology that surrounds him. On the one hand, it's Tom Cruise, this enigmatic movie star that everyone wants to meet. And on the other hand, he's just a guy. I like to be normal with him."

Ahead of the film's release, Cruise has openly shared his intention to continue making "Mission Impossible" movies until he reaches the age of 80. Drawing inspiration from the legendary Harrison Ford, who continues his iconic roles, Cruise stated, "Harrison Ford is a legend; I hope to continue going. I've got 20 years to catch up. I hope to continue making Mission: Impossible movies until he is his age."
