Like every six months, the British portal YouGov has published the popularity data of the British royal family. And there are many very surprising changes.

Kate Middleton and the surprising 'surprise' that leaves Meghan Markle in the gutter

With the departure of Meghan Markle from the British Royal House, the Duchess of Cambridge has not only recovered the media prominence that she once enjoyed, but the British have praised her, making her former actress pay for her decision. And they have done it through popularity surveys, so recurrent in the United Kingdom and which the YouGov portal publishes every six months. And the last study has its own name, that of Kate Middleton, who is placed no less than in second position, only behind Queen Elizabeth, who is still in first place.

The latest survey placed Prince William's wife in 4th position, behind her husband, her brother-in-law and the monarch. But Kate Middleton's recovered star has made it rise like wildfire, with 73% positive opinions and only 5% unfavorable opinions. And of course, holding that place he has not only overtaken Prince William, who is still in third place, but also surpasses, by far, the position in which the Dukes of Sussex remain: Harry has achieved a tremendous -although expected- setback, dropping to 5th place, while Meghan now occupies 9th position, dropping three places compared to the last study.

The latest encounters already denoted a certain discomfort with them, after making some decisions, such as privacy regarding Archie's birth and baptism, which the citizens did not like at all. And these results, obtained from surveys carried out until March 20, make clear the position of the British regarding the couple. The curious thing is that even the Duke of Edinburgh and Zara Tindall are ahead of her, a surprising fact, given that they are not even working members of the Royal House.

There is also a lot of difference between the adjectives that the Sussexes receive from those received by other members of the family. While Markle is described by some as "attractive", "beautiful" or "charming" and Harry is referred to as "nice" or "fun-loving", Queen Elizabeth is said to be "worthy", "hard-working" and " respectable", and of Kate Middleton they affirm that she is "a good role model".

The one that has also experienced a good boost has been Princess Anne, who goes from occupying eighth place to a worthy fourth place, only behind the Cambridges and Queen Elizabeth. Of course, there are also results that, once published, do not agree at all with internet users. Especially striking is the case of Sophie of Wessex, who despite being constantly praised for her work within the Royal House, her discretion and her unconditional support for her mother-in-law, only occupies twelfth position.

Now, we have to wait another six months to find out if Meghan and Harry are included in this survey again and, if so, check if Megxit has its way again and how the British receive it.
