Taylor Swift could take from Michael Jackson the record for most awards won by an artist at the American Music Awards (AMA), which announced their nominations this Thursday, led by Post Malone, with seven, and Billie Eilish and Ariana Grande, with six each.
Swift, the next most nominated, with five nominations, already has 23 American Music Awards so she will only need to win two of them to surpass the 24 awards that the King of Pop won throughout her musical career.
The young singer already won Artist of the Year in the last edition and is nominated again in this section along with Best Female Pop Artist, Favorite Contemporary Artist, Favorite Video and Favorite Pop Album for her recent and acclaimed "Lover."

After Malone, Billie Eilish and Ariana Grande got six nominations each and will compete against each other for Favorite Video and Favorite Social Artist, and both against Swift for Best Female Pop Artist and Best Pop Album.
For her part, Eilish will fight in the categories of Alternative Artist and Best New Artist, while Grande, more veteran in the industry, is a candidate for Artist of the Year and to be recognized with Best Tour of the Season.
