Taylor Swift's NYC Residence Faces Security Breach as Alleged Stalker Attempts Break-In

The incident unfolded on Franklin Street when police responded to a call about a disorderly person. Although authorities did not confirm the suspect's attempt to enter Swift's residence, a separate source verified witnessing the individual trying to open a door to her building.

The eyewitness recalled seeing the suspect around 1 p.m., approaching Taylor's door. The source mentioned, "I'm not sure if he knocked or rang the doorbell." Notably, the same individual had been observed in the neighborhood for weeks, prompting concerns from residents. Another neighbor revealed, "He's been sleeping on the stoop, chain smoking constantly, shouting, and generally making everyone uncomfortable."

According to reports, the suspect had been present in the area for a month, displaying erratic behavior. Despite multiple calls to the police, action was only taken when he attempted to gain access to the building. The neighbor mentioned, "I asked him to leave this morning, and he just stared at me catatonic. Total nutcase."

When police arrived around 1:45 p.m., the arrest was conducted calmly without resistance from the suspect. Photographs obtained by Page Six showed the individual being booked, and he was taken into custody due to an unrelated active warrant for his arrest.

Sources reveal that Taylor Swift's security team was present hours before the incident, indicating that the pop superstar might have been at her residence during the alleged break-in attempt. Swift is anticipated to attend her boyfriend Travis Kelsey's game against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday in upstate New York, but her attendance is yet to be confirmed.

This unsettling incident is not the first time Taylor Swift has dealt with stalking issues. In 2019, Roger Alvarado was arrested for attempting to break into his Tribeca residence. Alvarado later pleaded guilty and was sentenced to four years in prison. In 2022, another man named Joshua Christian was arrested for allegedly stalking Swift across multiple states. The singer's representatives have not yet commented on the recent incident.
