Brad's Triumph in Legal Battle Over $500 Million French Vineyard with Angelina Jolie

Brad Pitt emerges victorious in the latest legal skirmish with Angelina Jolie, marking a significant turn in their ongoing battle over the esteemed $500 million French vineyard, Miraval.

Brad's Triumph in Legal Battle Over $500 Million French Vineyard with Angelina Jolie

The 60-year-old Money Ball star, who has been tirelessly navigating the legal landscape in both California and Luxembourg, asserts his right to a controlling interest in the vineyard named Shadow Marille.

This complex legal saga traces its roots to Jolie's sale of her shares to Yuri Sheffer, the owner of the Russian vodka giant Stoy, before tying the knot with Pitt. Originally, the power couple had jointly acquired the estate, with Pitt holding a 60% stake and Jolie at 40%.

Their union in 2014 at the winery saw Pitt endowing Jolie with an additional 10%, ostensibly creating a 50-50 ownership structure. However, when the duo parted ways in 2016, Jolie divested her shares.

Pitt, contesting the validity of Jolie's deal, passionately argues that he should maintain his 60% ownership. A source familiar with the case revealed to Page Six that the initial agreement during their marriage was for Jolie to receive the extra 10%, a symbolic gesture denoting their partnership.

Pitt contends in court that this agreement is unenforceable, seeking not only the return of the percentage but also the retention of his control over the property.

The legal proceedings have now seen a temporary victory for Pitt, as the Luxembourg Court has ruled that, at least for the time being, the additional 10% reverts to him. Described as an equivalent of escrow, this interim decision grants Pitt a 60-40 split, allowing him to maintain control until a final ruling is reached—potentially extending the legal battle for another year or more.

Representatives for the involved parties refrained from commenting on the ongoing legal saga, leaving the public and fans anticipating further developments in this high-profile dispute over Miraval.
