Christopher Nolan SHUTS DOWN Meghan Markle's Bond Girl Fantasy

Has anyone checked in on Megan Markle? Christopher Nolan and his producer wife, Emma Thomas, are set to receive Knighthood and Damehood honors, respectively, in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the film industry.

This recognition follows the tremendous success of their biopic, "Oppenheimer," which dominated the 2024 awards season. Nolan, originally from London, secured his first Oscar for directing this film, which portrays the life of J. Robert Oppenheimer, known as the father of the atomic bomb. Irish actor Cillian Murphy takes on the lead role in the movie.

Nolan's British-American heritage influenced his decision to study English at University College London, where he was drawn to the institution's filmmaking resources. Together, the couple founded Syncopy, a production company responsible for numerous blockbuster hits. Nolan's designation as a Fellow of the British Film Institute recognizes him as one of the world's most innovative and influential film directors. He credits his wife's indispensable contributions for much of his success.

A knighthood is a prestigious honor in the United Kingdom, typically bestowed upon individuals who have made significant contributions to their field on a national level. Renowned celebrity knights include Anthony Hopkins and Patrick Stewart, among others. Christopher Nolan's reported dismissal of Megan Markle's aspirations to land a coveted Bond girl role in the upcoming James Bond film has stirred conversation.

However, Megan seems to have set her sights on a new ambition: becoming a Bond girl in Bond 26. This aspiration from the woman who once sought privacy and a tranquil life with Prince Harry after their dramatic departure from the British Royal Family showcases her desire to pursue diverse interests. Rumors suggest Megan was previously considered for a Bond girl role but withdrew from consideration upon marrying Prince Harry. Now, she's reportedly eager to make a grand comeback.

Bond 26, the code name for the next installment in the iconic James Bond franchise, is as inevitable as Bond ordering a shaken, not stirred Martini. With MGM, the studio co-owner of the Bond franchise, acquired by Amazon in 2022, the Bond saga is poised to continue.

Adding to the anticipation, there are speculations that Christopher Nolan, renowned for his work on "Inception" and "The Dark Knight," may join the project. Furthermore, rumors abound that Nolan might cast his friend Cillian Murphy as the next Bond, sparking excitement among fans. Amidst this speculation, Megan envisions herself as the perfect fit for the role of a Bond girl, ready to bring her unique perspective on issues like the UK's colonial past or climate change to the MI6 agents.

However, someone close to Nolan reportedly poured cold water on Megan's aspirations, questioning her suitability for the role due to her age and acting prowess. It appears Megan's dream of joining the Bond world may remain just that—a dream. Reflecting on recent Bond films, Megan might have missed an opportunity for a lead role in the latest installment, "No Time to Die," which went to Léa Seydoux. In the end, it seems Megan may not fit the traditional mold of a Bond girl, her looks and persona not aligning with the archetype. Yet, perhaps there's a role for her in the Bond universe, such as playing Bond's grandmother.
