Lady C recently asserted that Prince Harry and Meghan will undergo deposition as part of the defamation lawsuit initiated by Meghan's half-sister, Samantha Markle.
Meghan and Samantha's relationship took a deteriorating turn when Samantha accused Meghan of defamation during a candid interview with Oprah in 2021. During that chat, Meghan revealed that she had been raised as an only child and didn't really know Samantha. Subsequently, Samantha claimed that Meghan had defamed her with those statements, asserting that these claims had harmed the credibility of a 2021 book, "The Diary of Princess Pushy's Sister Part One," where she delved into her relationship with Meghan during their upbringing.
In her pursuit of justice, Samantha is seeking $75,000 in damages. A provisional trial date has been set for November 2024, with in-person meetings scheduled beforehand. The legal battle unfolded after Meghan successfully had Samantha's initial lawsuit dismissed in March 2022. Samantha had filed a defamation case against her younger half-sister, alleging that Meghan had defamed her by providing information to an unauthorized biography called "Finding Freedom" and by discussing their relationship with Oprah on live TV.
However, the case was dismissed in March of the previous year when a US District Judge ruled that Meghan's comments were opinions and not capable of being proven false. Undeterred, Samantha then filed an amended complaint the following month. Samantha stands strong in her defamation lawsuit against Harry and Meghan. This may be why Harry is so infatuated with getting the PP status. Lady C also claimed that Harry and Meghan Markle are in desperate straits, with no prospect of a royal reconciliation.
The royal biographer joined Nana Akua on GB News to discuss Harry's recent trip to Britain. The Duke flew across the pond to be by his father's side following his cancer diagnosis. He has since spoken out on offering support to his family during its time of need, with reports suggesting Harry may be willing to undertake a royal role in his father's absence. But according to Lady C, this is a sign of a man who's in a desperate situation.
"Harry's offering to help, but it's hypocritical and phony," she said. "The royal family wouldn't want him. He also knows from his own personal experience in the past that diary a planned 6 months in advance, and therefore he's going to come over what's he going to come over and do and who's he going to meet and greet who's going to want to speak to him," she added.
Lady C believes that Harry would struggle dealing with members of The Firm, those that work behind the scenes with day-to-day royal family duties. She believes that they deplore Harry after he made a series of staggering claims about senior figures of the royal family in his memoir. "This is all phony to make him look good," she said, shadedly.
Lady C went on to laugh off the prospect of a reconciliation between Harry and the royal establishment. "It's so laughable that I'm not sure you can even condescend to comment," she said. "The whole thing is a joke. Of course, it's not true. Meghan and Harry are in desperate straits at the moment. They're looking at a very empty diary for the future. The deal with Netflix is in danger, and it's either going to be revised tremendously downwards for them, or it's going to be terminated altogether."
