Gabriel Macht MOCKS Meghan Markle's Horrible Acting Skills in T-Mobile Ad

Meghan Markle's "Suits" co-stars, Patrick J. Adams and Gabriel Macht, are among the notable celebrities featured in T-Mobile's 2024 big game commercial.

Joining them are Laura Dern, Common, Jennifer Hudson, and Bradley Cooper, creating a star-studded lineup for the highly anticipated ad. Adams described the commercial's concept, stating, "This year, a number of us are attempting to audition to maybe take over and be the new Face, Body, and Soul of T-Mobile."

The ad, produced by Panay Films and directed by Brian Klugman, finds Adams and Macht in a humble garage setting, filming an audition tape to promote T-Mobile's new customer appreciation program, Magenta Status. This program offers users special deals and experiences with brands like Hilton, Hertz, Dollar, and Live Nation.

In their segment, Macht takes on the amusing role of "phone boy," while the ad also features Laura Dern attempting to cry on cue, Jennifer Hudson showcasing her whistling skills, and Common acting out a dramatic movie scene. Bradley Cooper and his mother make a return, aiming to secure that Magenta Status. One scene in particular has caught the attention of royal fans, where Gabriel Macht's line, "and we can both cry on cue," is perceived by many as a subtle dig at Meghan Markle. Some fans speculate that this was a deliberate choice of words, referencing Markle's known ability to cry on demand—a skill she reportedly mentioned during the late Queen's funeral, as recounted by Prince Harry in his memoir, "Spare." He detailed several instances where he found Meghan in tears upon returning home.

Adams and Macht also revealed whether they have spoken to Meghan Markle since the resurgence of "Suits" on streaming platforms. Adams said, "I haven't communicated with her other than seeing her big support for the resurgence, and that's been really nice." Macht added, "Nope, no communication," before jokingly pretending he was getting a call, "Oh, hold on, there she is. Oh, got to go."

Amid the renewed popularity of "Suits" on platforms like Netflix and Peacock, creator Aaron Korsh has begun working on a spin-off series, "Suits: LA." This development has fueled speculation that Meghan Markle might return to her acting roots by reprising her role as Rachel Zane. No longer a working royal, Meghan would be free to rejoin the show that catapulted her to fame in 2011. Living in Montecito, California, Markle would not have to part with her family to step back into her character's shoes.

According to the new show's logline, it will focus on Ted Black, a former federal prosecutor from New York who has reinvented himself representing the most powerful clients in Los Angeles. Stephen Amell, known for his work on the superhero series "Arrow," will play Ted Black. Other notable cast members include Josh McDermitt of "The Walking Dead." While Markle's participation in the new series hasn't been officially confirmed, her former co-star Patrick J. Adams hinted at the possibility during the 2024 Golden Globes. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Adams teased, "Sure, Mike and Rachel in Seattle, they got to come down to LA. They’re going to fix some stuff." He also joked about Markle's current popularity due to her royal status, saying, "She's pretty popular right now. Did you hear about Meghan? I'll tell you later."

Adams expressed his enthusiasm for the potential reunion, adding, "If we got the phone call, if I got the phone call, I'm ready to suit up again. I love the show, I love the character, and I loved working with all the people."
