David Beckham has embraced a new role with King Charles III.

Prince Harry SEETHES As David Beckham Bonds Over Charity with King Charles at Highgrove Gardens

On June 1, the King's Foundation announced that Beckham, 49, has joined as an ambassador. King Charles, 75, originally established the charity in 1990 when he was Prince of Wales, aiming to foster communities where people, places, and the planet thrive together.

Last month, the former England soccer captain visited King Charles at Highgrove Gardens in Gloucestershire to meet the monarch, learn about the organization, and explore some of the charity's educational programs. During his visit, Beckham participated in on-site workshops that are part of the Foundation's initiatives. The King's Foundation provides educational courses to around 15,000 students annually and health and well-being programs for another 2,000 people each year. Other initiatives include regeneration projects throughout the UK and abroad, focusing on rejuvenating communities and restoring historic buildings.

Beckham's announcement as an ambassador included posting photos with King Charles on Instagram, where he expressed his honor in joining the foundation. In what appeared to be a subtle jab at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who were reportedly snubbed by King Charles during a recent UK visit, Beckham wrote, "I'm honored to become an ambassador for the King's Foundation. It was inspiring to hear from His Majesty about the foundation's projects and ambitions during my recent visit to Highgrove Gardens. As someone who grew up in London but has developed a love for the countryside, I'm looking forward to supporting the foundation's education programs and efforts to ensure young people have a greater understanding of nature."

The post came shortly after reports that King Charles had refused to meet Prince Harry during his UK visit. Harry's spokesperson confirmed that due to the King's full schedule, a meeting was not possible, although Harry understood his father's commitments and hoped to see him soon.

During his visit to Highgrove Gardens, Beckham interacted with students taking woodworking classes at the Snowdon School of Furniture, as well as those from the Hand & Lock Embroidery Fellowship, coordinated in partnership with Chanel. These interactions highlighted the diverse educational programs supported by the King's Foundation.

Charles Rae, a former royal correspondent for The Sun, commented on the implications of Beckham's new role. He noted that the royal family has always had a close relationship with the Beckhams, but Prince Harry's friendship with David Beckham appears to have deteriorated, especially after accusations involving Victoria Beckham. Rae mentioned that despite the fallout with Harry, Beckham maintains excellent relationships with King Charles and Prince William and Princess Catherine.

Rae also speculated that Beckham might soon receive a knighthood, praising him as a fabulous individual and a fantastic footballer. He suggested that Beckham could be honored as early as the upcoming birthday honors list or perhaps in the New Year, emphasizing that Beckham's contributions and public persona make him a deserving candidate for the title "Sir David Beckham."

In a light-hearted twist, fans have begun nicknaming the pair "Chaz and Dave," with others jokingly suggesting Beckham signing official documents at the palace.
