The Prince and Princess of Wales recently engaged in a friendly Nerf battle against their children during the Gone Wild Festival at Houghton Hall in Norfolk.

Princess Catherine and Prince William Had a Family Nerf Battle Day with Their Kids

Their three children—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis—joined in the action for an energetic and fun-filled day. The high-intensity game featured toy guns and smoke bombs, creating an exciting atmosphere. Prince Louis, in particular, was full of energy, running around and enthusiastically shouting, "Nerf or nothing, let's do this!" according to Georgina Barron, head of Norfolk Nerf Parties, who helped coordinate the event.

In an unexpected twist, the Princess of Wales, despite undergoing treatment for cancer, grabbed a Nerf gun and actively participated in the game, even joining her children for a round of "stuck in the mud." Miss Barron noted that hosting the royal family was not only a privilege but also an unforgettable experience. Although the family requested privacy and were not photographed, Miss Barron said they wished to enjoy a wholesome day out, just like any regular family.

Kensington Palace has been approached for comment regarding the event. The Gone Wild Festival typically caters to around 640 children daily, but that weekend saw a very special VIP family join in the festivities. Miss Barron recalled being summoned to the production team's office, where she was informed of a special request for a high-energy Nerf war. The Wales family, along with their friends and relatives, arrived eager to partake in the fun. They specifically requested a day with no formal protocol, focusing instead on creating a casual and enjoyable family experience.

Miss Barron shared that watching the Wales family, alongside members of the public, run around the festival grounds with Nerf guns and smoke bombs was a unique sight. She remarked that the event left an indelible impression on her and her children. Offering her warmest regards to the royal family, she expressed that it was a day her boys would remember forever, calling the experience one of the greatest honors of her career.
