Tina Brown Criticizes Meghan Markle on The Ankor Podcast

Former Vanity Fair Editor-in-Chief, Tina Brown, recently shared her candid opinions about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry during an episode of "The Ankor Podcast" with Janice Min.

Tina Brown Criticizes Meghan Markle on The Ankor Podcast

In the conversation, Brown unleashed a series of sharp criticisms, specifically targeting Meghan Markle’s decision-making skills. According to Brown, Markle demonstrates “the worst judgment in the world.” This isn't the first time Brown has been critical of the couple. She previously labeled their departure from royal life, often called “Megxit,” as a disaster and has consistently portrayed them as addicted to drama.

On the podcast, Brown did not hold back, reiterating her strong view that Meghan Markle consistently makes poor decisions. "The trouble with Meghan is that she has the worst judgment of anyone in the world. She's flawless at getting it all wrong," Brown stated. She went as far as to claim that all of Meghan’s ideas are “total crap,” leaving little doubt about her disdain for the Duchess of Sussex’s approach to life outside the Royal Family.

Brown's critique wasn't limited to Meghan. She also addressed Prince Harry’s role, painting him as a follower, rather than a leader, in their decision to step away from royal duties. She described Harry as being led “like a lamb to slaughter,” accusing him of blindly following Meghan's lead. Brown expressed deep concern for Harry, arguing that his exit from the Royal Family could have been much more amicable had the couple not been so "hot-headed" in their approach.

According to Brown, Harry always harbored a desire to leave royal life but lacked the courage to make that move independently. Meghan, in her view, was the catalyst for his decision. Brown suggested that this choice ultimately backfired, resulting in what she described as a “careful what you wish for” scenario for the prince. Over the years, Harry has displayed moments of emotional immaturity, such as throwing public tantrums, which Brown claims highlight his lack of emotional development. Rather than truly wanting to reintegrate into royal life, she believes Harry is more focused on enjoying the perks and status that come with being a royal, without the responsibilities.

Brown’s analysis also touched on the strained relationship between Harry and his older brother, Prince William, claiming that Harry harbors deep resentment towards him. This tension, according to Brown, is exacerbated by Harry’s jealousy over his father, King Charles III, marrying Camilla, now Queen Consort. Brown argued that Harry doesn't wish to fully return to royal life but desires the protection, security, and fame associated with his former status, while still being able to act freely without facing the consequences of his actions.

In Brown's view, Harry is starting to realize that Meghan might be holding him back. This sentiment, she suggests, is reflected in his memoir "Spare," where Harry expressed hopes for a “semi-royal” role. However, the book also revealed a gap between his expectations and the public’s perception of him. Brown noted Harry’s tone-deaf statements, such as advising people struggling through economic hardships to simply quit jobs they don’t enjoy, as evidence of his lack of awareness.

Additionally, controversies have surfaced surrounding Harry, including accusations of him posing as a veteran among disabled veterans despite having no relevant combat experience. Brown criticized Harry’s attempts to offer mental health advice, calling them hypocritical given his own questionable behavior and lack of formal qualifications. His perceived arrogance, combined with a reputation for laziness, has only further complicated his public image.

As for Meghan, Brown believes her judgment continues to raise eyebrows. Despite numerous public missteps, Meghan seems either unable or unwilling to learn from her mistakes, which has fueled a surge in negative media coverage. Allegations of bullying and other troubling behaviors have come to light more frequently in recent months, with Brown suggesting that journalists may have long been aware of these issues but chose not to report them until now. As Harry seeks guidance from those capable of managing his life, the truth about Meghan, according to Brown, is beginning to emerge with increasing intensity.
