Duchess of Sussex’s Upcoming Netflix Show Sparks Debate
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s daughter Lilibet, now three years old, is said to be fully embracing her "princess phase," according to a close friend of the Duchess.
Celebrity chef and confidante, Adrian Lipscombe, recently shared her thoughts about Meghan's much-anticipated Netflix show With Love, Meghan. Despite showing unwavering support for the series, Adrian also reflected on her personal encounter with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Meghan’s upcoming culinary show has been the target of premature criticism, with one article dismissing it as "boring" even before its release. Responding to the negativity, Adrian took to Instagram to challenge the unfounded critique, questioning how a show could be judged without being seen.
“I get it—sensationalism drives clicks, but shame on you," she wrote. "I’m making an effort to be kinder in 2025, but this? This is not it. How can anyone criticize or judge a TV show before it’s even aired?"
Reflecting on her personal experience with Meghan, Adrian shared heartfelt praise. "I had the privilege of meeting @meghan over a meal, and I can honestly say that she and her very famous husband are among the most genuine, down-to-earth people I’ve encountered."
Offering a rare glimpse into Lilibet’s life, Adrian added, “We talked about our families—especially about our daughters being in their ‘princess’ phase and the movies they adore—and, of course, about food. Despite how busy she was, Meghan never rushed the conversation. She was gracious, attentive, and incredibly kind.”
Adrian also took aim at the broader media treatment of Meghan. “What bothers me most about that article is how it mirrors the relentless tabloid noise surrounding her. Instead of delivering a thoughtful critique or conducting an interview, you opted for sensationalism to grab attention. That’s not the kind of journalism—or standard—that people want from you.”
She concluded with a powerful call to action. “I sincerely hope you’ll retract this piece and reflect on the consequences of this style of reporting. Take the time to understand the people behind the stories—their intentions and the context of their work. The world of food journalism deserves better. Meghan deserves better. And quite frankly, we all deserve better.”
This heartwarming update about Lilibet comes shortly after Prince Harry and Meghan released festive holiday cards, featuring tender family moments with both Lilibet and their son, Archie.
