NETFLIX PRODUCERS FINALLY SPILL! Forced To DUB Meghan Markle’s Show as She Keeps Talking Herself

Meghan Markle's latest Netflix series, With Love, Megan, has already stirred controversy, but this time, it’s not about royal grievances.

NETFLIX PRODUCERS FINALLY SPILL! Forced To DUB Meghan Markle’s Show as She Keeps Talking Herself

Instead, reports suggest that producers had to dub in questions from Megan to her guests because she was too engrossed in talking about herself. The show, which was intended to be a charming and intimate exploration of hospitality, featuring Megan hosting friends and celebrities in a rented mansion for cooking and entertaining tips, quickly devolved into a monologue where guests became mere props in her self-reflections.

One episode featuring actress Mindy Kaling highlighted this issue perfectly. Rather than engaging in conversation, Megan dominated the discussion, completely sidestepping the show's intended focus. While Mindy was supposed to share her insights, she was instead relegated to the role of an enthusiastic listener, offering little more than approving nods. At one point, Megan veered off into an anecdote about her beloved science teacher, Mr. Ben, further cementing the notion that the show was less about meaningful dialogue and more about her personal storytelling. The lack of genuine interaction left producers scrambling to patch together an actual conversation in postproduction.

In a hilariously obvious edit, a voiceover of Megan suddenly asks Mindy, "What kind of things did you like to do as a kid?" The abrupt cut to Mindy, who gamely shares a childhood memory about her love for restaurants, made it clear that Netflix’s editors were working overtime to create the illusion that Megan was interested in anyone other than herself. The attempt was commendable, but the artificiality was hard to miss. Even media personalities like Megyn Kelly, known for her critiques of Hollywood narcissism, couldn’t help but call out the awkwardness of the situation. On her podcast, Kelly noted that Megan barely engages with her guests in any meaningful way, and when she does, it’s only thanks to heavy postproduction intervention. She even suggested that someone must have coached Megan on how to appear like a normal person who shows genuine interest in others.

This pattern of self-absorption isn’t new for Megan. During her short-lived Spotify venture, her podcast episodes often centered on herself rather than her guests, filled with personal grievances, declarations of victimhood, and endless self-congratulation. Whether she’s lamenting the struggles of royal life, detailing the so-called hardships of being a millionaire in Montecito, or insisting that she is constantly misunderstood, the narrative remains the same—Megan first, everyone else second. This latest blunder only adds to the growing body of evidence that suggests she has little interest in genuine human connection unless the conversation revolves around her.

For those expecting insightful discussions, engaging dialogue, or even a meaningful look at cooking and hosting, disappointment was inevitable. This is the Megan Markle formula: she talks, people nod, editors scramble to make it look like a conversation, and audiences collectively roll their eyes. At this point, did anyone really expect anything different?
