Among those recognized was Alex Holmes, the deputy CEO of The Diana Award, a charity established in memory of Princess Diana. Holmes, 36, was awarded the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for his dedicated work supporting young people, particularly through his efforts in anti-bullying initiatives. His contributions have been instrumental in shaping school programs aimed at fostering a safer and more inclusive environment for children and teenagers. The prestigious honor was announced in King Charles III’s New Year Honours List, published on January 1.

In celebration of the event, the official Instagram account of the Prince and Princess of Wales shared a collage of images highlighting the individuals who received royal recognition. The post underscored Prince William’s commitment to acknowledging those who make a meaningful impact in their communities.

The investiture ceremony took place just one day after the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, made a public appearance at the St. Patrick’s Day Service Parade as Colonel of the Irish Guards. Her presence at the event marked an important step in her gradual return to royal duties following her completion of chemotherapy treatment. Prince William, however, did not accompany his wife on this occasion, as his own royal commitments, including the investiture ceremony, required his attention. The couple continues to balance their responsibilities while supporting each other through personal and professional challenges.
