King Charles and the Royal Family have responded for the first time to Prince Harry’s accusation that his legal defeat in the UK security case was the result of an “establishment stitch-up.”
A spokesperson from Buckingham Palace, speaking to The Sun, emphasized that the matter has been thoroughly reviewed by the courts multiple times, with each outcome reaching the same conclusion.
Prince Harry recently lost his final appeal in the legal battle against the Home Office and the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures (Ravec). He had sought VIP-level security during visits to the UK, arguing that his and Meghan Markle’s protection was unjustly reduced after they stepped back from royal duties and moved to the United States.
Following the court's decision, Harry gave a candid interview discussing the strained relationship with his family and his concerns over security. He told the BBC that he couldn't envision bringing Meghan and their children back to the UK under the current circumstances. He expressed regret over being unable to show his home country to Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
In a pointed remark, Harry said that while his father no longer speaks to him, King Charles could still play a role—not by intervening, but by stepping aside and allowing the proper authorities to handle the matter without interference.
