Prince Harry’s U.S. Residency May Be Secured by Rare ‘Golden Ticket’ Diplomatic Visa

Prince Harry may be residing in the United States under the protection of a rare diplomatic visa typically reserved for foreign royals and heads of state. This special visa, believed to be the A-1 diplomatic visa, could allow him to live in the country indefinitely, regardless of the usual immigration hurdles faced by most individuals.

Following the release of his memoir Spare, where Harry openly discussed past drug use, questions were raised about whether his admission could affect his immigration status. However, experts suggest that his unique position as a royal may grant him access to special considerations under U.S. immigration law. According to GB News, the A-1 visa is administered by the U.S. State Department rather than Homeland Security and grants the holder the ability to remain in the U.S. without the typical time restrictions.

Immigration lawyer Melissa Chavin explained to the Daily Mail that the State Department primarily handles A-1 visas with minimal involvement from Homeland Security. She speculated that Harry likely held an A-1 visa throughout his life, estimating that he may have had around eight applications in total, considering the visa typically lasts five years and is valid for multiple entries into the U.S.

Chavin elaborated that each entry under this visa permits an indefinite stay, referred to as "duration of status." In Harry’s case, she noted, that duration essentially lasts for his entire life, as long as he remains a member of the royal family and is potentially in line for the throne.

One source described the visa as a “golden ticket,” noting that it effectively grants Harry the freedom to live in the U.S. without the usual limitations placed on foreign nationals.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Struggle to Win Over Hollywood as New Netflix Show Faces Skepticism

Netflix has unveiled the trailer for the upcoming season of With Love, Meghan, showcasing Meghan Markle in a more relaxed setting as she cooks and crafts alongside celebrities like Chrissy Teigen and Tan France from Queer Eye. While the trailer teases more star-studded appearances and lifestyle content, industry insiders are skeptical about its ability to overcome the lukewarm reception of the show's debut.

Reports indicate that Season 2 was already completed before the first season aired, meaning there was no opportunity to address the criticism it received. This has raised concerns within the entertainment industry about whether Meghan and Prince Harry are connecting with audiences as intended.

The situation is part of a broader concern surrounding the couple’s $100 million Netflix deal, which has reportedly been scaled back following disappointing viewership figures. Meghan’s lifestyle series reportedly reached only 5.3 million views, ranking 343 on the platform, while Prince Harry’s polo documentary failed to gain traction altogether, landing at an abysmal 3,436.

According to one insider, the couple has struggled to create compelling content and allegedly dismissed professional advice, despite having little background in television production. Their previous Spotify deal also ended prematurely due to underwhelming results, further fueling the belief that Hollywood has yet to see them as serious creative players.

Although the Sussexes are said to be positioning this shift as a chance to gain more creative control, some see it as a response to unmet expectations and dwindling influence in the industry.
