If Paco Umbral went on television to talk about his book, Angelina Jolie did the same to comment on "They took him away: memories of a girl from Cambodia",
The film directed by the diva that Netflix has just released about the Cambodian genocide.
But when Juju Chang, a journalist who was interviewing her for "Nighttime",asked her about her ex, Brad Pitt, the actress was furious, about to break something. "She got on her nerves, because she just wanted to promote the film," says an eyewitness to the events. “It's hard to believe that she didn't know she was going to be asked about him. Chang was just doing his job."
The television presenter managed to calm her down and keep the recording going. But she then consulted her health status, which did not sit well with her either. Angelina Jolie limited herself to a brief "I'm fine now and my children too", while she pouted. The television network has cut the disagreement in the final version that has been broadcast.
The actress could regain her joy if she wins an Oscar for Cambodia, which she has submitted the film to represent her at the Academy Awards. She received Cambodian citizenship in 2005 (she now holds dual Cambodian-American citizenship) in recognition of her activism against humanitarian crises, and she adopted Maddox, a boy from the Asian country.
