Everything you do not know about 'Titanic, the movie'

The shooting of this film was full of details to make the characterization more realistic, for example, the clock in the first class lounge, when the two protagonists meet, marks exactly the time the Titanic sank, or the menu cards they were exactly the same as the original ship, with the same dishes.

The temperature of the water, which was in an inflatable pool, was kept at 10 degrees, so that vapors did not come out. In the case of the carpets, they were manufactured by the same company as in the original Titanic. And even the characterization of the characters was copied from the photos that remain.

James Cameron did such a meticulous job that he copied scenes from photographs, such as a scene, as Jack and Rose take their walk around the first class deck, in which a boy appears, playing with his father a top.

Other curiosities are, for example, that the director broke up with his partner because he began his relationship with one of the secondary actresses, he himself is the character who is removing lice from his beard before boarding the ship. The woman who appears behind the table where Bruce Ismay, president of the "White Star Line" tells the captain to increase the speed of the ship, actually existed and was the one who declared in court the existence of said conversation. There were very complicated scenes like the one where Rose spits in her fiancé's face, which had to be shot 11 times.

The extras were a very important part of the film, there were so many that they chose to divide the different reactions to the tragedy into zodiac signs. So all the Aries would react in one way, the Taurus in another, etc., in total there would be 12 different reactions. Or in the sinking, a man falls and bounces off the blade, because it was a roll of toilet paper.

The shooting also had its problems, and continuous delays, to the point that the very morning of the premiere the film was still being edited. And that the film was made with mirrors to save on sets, and that the film ended up costing 200 million dollars. At the box office alone, it has grossed $1.7 billion.

Although the film has details that are not entirely faithful to reality, for example, only the first and third classes are mentioned, but there was also a second class that is not mentioned in the film.
