Maria Bakalova is the actress who plays Borat's daughter in Sacha Baron Cohen's new movie. And the woman involved in a controversial scene with Rudy Giuliani, in which the two are alone in a hotel room and he reaches down his pants.
In the scene, Sacha Baron Cohen, dressed as Borat, bursts in shouting: "She's 15 years old, she's too old for you."
Maria Bakalova, a Bulgarian actress, plays Tutar, Borat's daughter, but she is really 24 years old. The sequel to Borat is her most notable role to date, but she has starred in a few other productions, including Transgression, for which she received the Best Female Role Award at the Toronto Film Festival in 2018. She has also starred in several series of TV.
Bakalova studied theater at the National School of Arts in Burgas, Bulgaria.
Bakalova, whose career is taking off in Hollywood, has followed in the footsteps of many with Instagram posts in support of Black Lives Matter.
