Helping save the world with her "Avengers: Infinity War" buddies has helped make Scarlett Johansson the world's highest-paid actress.
Johansson, who plays the role of Black Widow in the Avengers film series, earned $40.5 million in the past year, according to the magazine's calculations.
Sticking with women, Angelina Jolie came in a distant second with $28 million thanks to her role as Maleficent of hers, and Jennifer Aniston was third with $19.5 million.

But how does Scarlett Johansson's income compare with who was declared the highest-paid actor?
Forbes magazine had already published its estimate for men over a month ago and the first on the list was Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.
Their revenue from him between June 2017 and June 2018 was US$124 million.
Not only is this an exorbitant sum with which he knocked Mark Wahlberg out of first place, but it triples Johansson's earnings!
The income of "The Rock" is also not far from the total sum of the 10 highest-paid women which is $186 million.
The gap
Dwayne Johnson's earnings are the highest ever recorded for an actor in the 20 years that Forbes magazine has tracked celebrity salaries and nearly double the $65 million he earned in 2017.
The substantial sum of money comes from the direct salary he takes per film, the percentage he receives from the box office, and what the magazine calls "a clever social media strategy."
"The Rock" Johnson has 108 million followers on Instagram, where he releases his own "inspirational" videos that he records directly to his phone.
On Twitter and Facebook he has other tens of millions of followers and in all these media he accompanies his messages with trailers for his films. Each "like" represents money.
Scarlett Johansson, for her part, quadrupled her income thanks to the success of the "Avengers" series, whose budget now reserves a portion for the salary of her interpreters.
