The mythical couple of 'Dirty Dancing' did not fit too much with the reality of the film. In the film, she played a teenager who went to summer camp with his and her parents, the dance instructor with whom she fell madly in love. In 1987, when the film was shot, Gray was 27, roughly a decade older than her character, and Swayze was 35, the same. Or maybe the monitor was twice Baby's age? We assume not.
Like Perry and Gabrielle Carteris in 'Feeling Live'
Two of the most beloved characters from one of the teen series of all time, Feeling Life, were Dylan McKay and Andrea Zuckerman. She was the eternal crush on Brandon and Dylan and Brenda made one of the prettiest couples on television. They both went to Beverly Hills School, so they were teenagers like the rest of the gang in the series. However, Luke Perry, when he started the series, in 1990, was 24 years old. Gabrielle Carteris broke all the molds because she was 29 years old; about twelve more than those represented by her character.
Stockard Channing, John Travolta, and Olivia Newton-John in 'Grease'
In 'Grease', the main gang is in their final year at Rydell High School; that is, they are 17-year-old pre-university students. Nothing to do with reality. In it, we meet Mrs. Dashwood (Gemma Jones) and her three daughters who, after the father of the family dies, are left without an inheritance since it passes to the son of Henry Dashwood's first marriage. To save money, they move to the country. Emma Thompson gave life to Elinor, her older sister, who according to the book is 19 years old. In real life, the actress was 34 years old. But that excess of age did not take its toll on her, as she was nominated for an Oscar for best actress and she won the statuette for Adapted Screenplay.
Emilia Clarke in 'Game of Thrones
Perhaps nobody can imagine a better Daenerys than Emilia Clarke for 'Game of Thrones' anymore – although many were surprised by what happened to her character at the end. At the start of the saga of George R. Martin's original books, the Queen of Dragons was almost, almost a 13-15-year-old girl; obviously, Emilia Clarke was quite old in 2011, when the series premiered: she was already 25 years old.

Thanks to 'Young Sheldon', the wonderful series in which the vicissitudes of the 'Big Bang Theory protagonist in his childhood are narrated, we learned that Jim Parsons, who plays him as a young man, was somewhat older than the character. According to the 'spin-off', Sheldon was born on February 26, 1980, so in 2007, when he started 'Big Bang Theory', he should have been 27 years old. Parsons was 34 at the time, so the difference was seven years.
