Asked about the rumors fomented by social networks around her choice to be the next interpreter of the Greek heroine, Armas avoided the conversation.

The actress responded, "Well, I think Gal Gadot is doing a great job, so, you know, I think she should continue [as Wonder Woman]."

Gadot brought Wonder Woman to life in 'Batman Vs Superman' (2016), 'Justice League (2017), 'Wonder Woman' (2017), and 'Wonder Woman 1984' (2020). Her last work as the character was in a special participation in 'Shazam! Fury of the Gods' (2023). She left the character after structural changes at Warner Bros. studios.

After the announcement of filmmaker James Gunn and producer Peter Safran as the new "creative bosses" of DC's film adaptations, it was revealed that the DC Cinematic Universe built over the last few years would be "zeroed" and new actors hired for the general reboot of the franchises.

Quite active on social networks, James Gunn has not yet commented on Twitter regarding the rumors involving Ana de Armas. In addition to 'Blonde', among the latest successes of the Cuban actress are 'Occult Agent' (2022) and '007 - No Time to Die (2021).
