'I always knew they would end up together, said Guadalupe Rodríguez about the singer's romance with the actor
The mother of singer Jennifer Lopez revealed that she had prayed for 20 years for the resumption of her daughter's relationship with actor Ben Affleck. Guadalupe Rodríguez exposed her support for the romance of the two celebrities in participation, along with Lopez, in the TV program 'Today', presented by Hoda Kotb.
Lopez and Affleck got engaged in 2002 and ended their relationship in 2004. They resumed 20 years later and exchanged rings in 2022. The singer has two children, Max and Emme (15 years old), from her marriage to musician Marc Anthony, between 2011 and 2014. Affleck has Violet (17 years old), Seraphina (14 years old), and Samuel (11 years old), from his marriage to actress Jennifer Garner, between 2005 and 2018.
During Rodríguez’s participation alongside her daughter on ‘Today’, Hoda Kotb asked the artist’s mother: “When we talked about Ben, what did you say to me?”. She responded speaking to her daughter: "I always knew you would end up together because I prayed for 20 years for this." Lopez reacted embarrassed, laughing and rolling her eyes: “Ok”.
“Let's continue with the conversation”, asked Lopez to the presenter, amid general laughter from the trio.
Lopez is currently on the eve of the release of the action drama 'The Mother', a film in which she plays a retired professional assassin who returns to her career to protect her daughter.
