Even though the statement, sent by the singer's record company, did not provide further details of the news, according to the Magazine, the actress gave birth last Wednesday, July 22, at a California hospital to a girl. The little girl is called Willa.
Sophie Turner's pregnancy was revealed in mid-February when sources close to the couple leaked it to various US media. They have never spoken about it, but in the spring Turner, 24, could be seen walking through Los Angeles with Joe Jonas, 30, and, in those photos, the pregnancy was already clearly visible.
The couple tied the knot in Las Vegas in early May 2019 in an informal, impromptu ceremony that took place after the Billboard Music Awards. The officiant was, of course, a double of Elvis Presley. Among the attendees were the two members of the Jonas Brothers and the groom's brothers, Kevin and Nick, and the latter's wife, actress Priyanka Chopra, as bridesmaid to the bride. DJ Diplo was also present, thanks to whom the link became known since he was in charge of publishing several stories from the ceremony and the after-party on his Instagram account. They showed Turner, in white and veiled, and Jonas, in a gray suit with a white carnation on his lapel.
After that wedding, they got married again, already in a more formal way and surrounded by family and friends. That was on June 29 in France, in the castle of Torreau, in the south of the country. It was a great party from which some images were leaked and from which they published some photographs. Among the guests were actress Maisie Williams, known for playing Aria Stark in Game of Thrones, Turner's sister in the series; and model Ashley Graham. Later, the newly married couple spent their honeymoon at a luxurious resort in the Maldives.
Jonas and Turner began dating in the fall of 2016 and got engaged a year later, in October 2017. However, their many professional commitments caused them to put off the wedding for up to two years. At that time, Joe Jonas rejoined his brothers and relaunched the group after spending five years apart. So they released the successful album Happiness Begins.
