Known as the girl in the red dress for a scene in which she got out of a swimming pool, Phoebe Cates was very famous in the eighties. The protagonist of "Gremlins" and "Student Mischief", the brunette was an exotic face for Hollywood at that time.

Around the nineties she began to space out the projects and already married to Kevin Kline, she decided to abandon her career to dedicate herself to her family after the birth of her second daughter Greta from her. However, she kept working. She runs a fashion boutique called Blue Tree on the Upper East Side and does charity in the city where she lives, New York.

Tom Selleck

Is there someone capable of abandoning a life of luxury, fame, and success for an avocado farm? Hell yeah: Tom Selleck.

Although he continues to participate in programs such as "Blue Bloods", most of the time is dedicated to tending his eight hectares where he grows and harvests avocados.

Nikki blocks

The "Hairspray" actress who found success with her role as Tracy Turnblad in 2007, later worked on television in series such as "Smash" and "Betty", but then the projects stalled.

Although she was still active in the musical field, she decided to look for an alternative. She retired to New York, where she was born, to work as a hairdresser and stylist.

The actress made her debut before the cameras at the age of 6 and she rose to international fame when she starred in "Matilda" in 1996. However, years later she said that she felt pressured by the criticism and demands of the environment.

She also stressed that during the filming of the movie she just wanted to play and be treated like a girl. For what she fondly remembers the treatment given to her by the actors who played her parents: Danny De Vito and Rhea Perlman.

They invited her to her house to play with her children, to have sleepovers, to the theater, and for walks. She was also the adorable little girl in "Mrs. Doubtfire" (1993) alongside Robin Williams. However, once she was old enough she changed her attachment to performance art entirely and she turned to being a playwright.

She apparently did not do badly at all. Behind the camera, today's 33-year-old girl was awarded several times for her work.

Steven Seagal

Seagal is one of the most famous and well-known faces in action cinema. He is a vegan, activist, and practitioner of Tibetan Buddhism, an expert in martial arts and although he succeeded as an actor and producer, he decided on another path.

In 2013 he partnered with the Arizona police to put his knowledge to work and help volunteers approach how to confront gunmen in public schools.

In 2011 he produced and starred in his latest television series to date, True Justice. He has 7 children with 4 different women and is also a musician in the band Steven Seagal and the Thunderbox, with which he released his first album in 2004.
