Patricia Cornwall was arrested by the FBI after starring in a tense moment on a trip from Tampa to Atlanta. In the 90s she became known for acting in well-known television series
The woman who slapped and spat at a passenger on a Delta flight from Tampa to Atlanta on Dec. 23 for not wearing a mask is known to be Patricia Cornwall, a former Baywatch actress, and model in the 1990s.
Cornwall, who was detained by the FBI over the weekend, appeared in court for the Northern District of Georgia on Monday, where she received an official criminal complaint from the US government.
The 51-year-old woman is charged with violating Title 18 of the United States Code for specifically assaulting, hitting, or injuring a passenger during a domestic flight. The victim told the FBI that Cornwall was returning from the bathroom in the back of the plane when she came to a spot where the beverage cart was blocking the aisle. The assailant then asked a flight attendant to help her find her seat and was told to just look for a free spot until she finished serving drinks.
According to the complainant, Cornwall responded: "What am I Rosa Parks?" Rosa Parks was an African-American activist in the civil rights movement in the United States, known for refusing to give up her seat to a white man and move to the back of the bus in Montgomery, Alabama.
The man told the FBI that he believed the comment was inappropriate and told Cornwall that she "isn't black, this isn't Alabama and not a bus," according to OutKick.
"Put on your mask!" The woman yelled at the other passenger between insults, who also replied in the same tone. "Sit down Karen!" the man told him. “Put on your mask!” she was yelling back, with big words. She then slapped the passenger who yelled at her: "You're going to jail!" Then the Delta employees intervened and as they cornered her she was yelling, “You fucking piece of shit!”
Last November, the actress who also worked on “Married With Children” was arrested for driving under the influence in Walton County, Florida. In 2020, she was arrested in the same county for domestic violence as well as in Los Angeles.
According to her Linkedin page, Cornwall has worked as a real estate agent in Los Angeles for several years but recently announced that she intends to relocate to Florida. “I am moving from California. I am single and divorced with two grown children who are abroad in the UK,” she wrote on an accommodation-seeking site.
During the 1990s, Cornwall was known as Patty Breton and was a cheerleader for the Los Angeles Raiders football team. In 1996 she started in show business with small roles in the series "Married With Children" and "Baywatch".
On Baywatch, she played Petra in the episode "The Contest," while on Married with Children she had a role as "Pilgrim Girl" in the episode "Calendar Girl" which aired on February 4, 1996.
