Three shots of tequila at 9 in the morning were enough for Margot Robbie to be encouraged to record the scenes with  Leonardo DiCaprio in The Wolf of Wall Street.

Margot Robbie reveals how difficult it was to film with Leonardo DiCaprio

The Wolf of Wall Street was one of the most iconic films of recent times, setting a box office record and being recognized worldwide for telling the story of Jordan Belfort, a New York stockbroker, who develops a life full of excesses and plunges into corruption.

Next year will be the tenth anniversary of that film that meant more than important work for its leading actors, remembering Leonardo DiCaprio as the great principal of the film and the participation of Margot Robbie, Jonah Hill, and Matthew McConaughey, among others.

As part of a story that plunged into excesses and some high-voltage scenes, Robbie, who put himself in the shoes of Naomi Lapaglia, a couple from Belfort, had to record risqué moments with DiCaprio when the part was present.

Margot had a hard time filming those intimate scenes, these being the most difficult part of her role. For the first time, the actress confessed that she had a hard time recording her moments to the point of having a few "drinks" to gain courage.

"I'm not going to lie, I had a couple of shots of tequila before that scene because I was nervous... very, very nervous," said the actress about the formula that she had to use to encourage herself to star in said scene. The truth is that the actress was 23 years old at the time of shooting that film and her discomfort was understandable.

For her part, she also explained that she was very afraid of appearing N- in front of the cameras, understanding that they are images that remain forever and that she did not know how they could have an impact. However, she came to believe that no one would notice her because her main focus fell on DiCaprio.

"Honestly, I know it sounds silly now knowing how big the movie became, at the time I was like, 'Nobody's going to notice me in this movie.' Somehow it doesn't matter what I do in this movie because everyone is going to focus on Leo," he explained.

In particular, Robbie ended up gaining so much popularity from that movie that of course those scenes will always be present. In fact, her portrayal of the New York stockbroker's wife had such an impact on her professional life that it led her to question whether she really wanted to continue down that path or if she should take another course. Fortunately, those doubts did not prosper and today we see her shine in every film.
