Clint Eastwood's war film revolves around the story of one of the bloodiest soldiers in the US, played by Bradley Cooper.
The sniper has already raised more than 134 million dollars (Box Office Mojo), but that has not stopped several Twitter users from mocking her for the use of a fake baby. In a scene from Clint Eastwood's 6th Oscar-nominated film, actors Bradley Cooper and Sienna Miller pass a crying baby around. The only drawback is that it is clearly seen that the baby is made of plastic.
"I've never seen so many fake babies so poorly done in one film," wrote Camilla Long of the Sunday Times, while Hit Fix says that "Bradley Cooper looks like he's never held a baby." Director Clint Eastwood hasn't said anything about 'baby-gate' yet, but one of his writers has.
Amid the controversy, Jason Hall commented that it was decided to use a doll only when the royal baby got sick. "Sorry to ruin the fun but baby #1 showed up with a fever," read the now-disappeared tweet. "Royal baby #2 never showed up. (Clint's voice) Give me the doll, boy."
Laws regarding the use of babies on film are very strict in California, where much of the title was shot. Babies must be between 15 days and 6 months old and can only work for two consecutive hours, either between 9:30 and 11:30 in the morning or between 2:30 and 4:30 in the afternoon. As if that were not enough, they must also have a work license issued by a doctor and, in addition, there must be a teacher and a nurse on the set.
