The Duchess of Sussex has not only an artistic but also a political past
Before meeting Prince Harry and becoming one of the most important figures in the history of British royalty, after leaving all her royal obligations to have a normal life with her family, Meghan Markle had several jobs that very few they know.
Her past as an actress is what is most known about her, but long before she shined in the courtroom drama Suits, the Duchess of Sussex led a normal life that took her to live in Buenos Aires, Argentina for a while.
Meghan Markle, in addition to studying theater, trained in international relations at Northwestern University, Illinois, and that career led her to have the opportunity to work in various parts of the world, as part of the program to earn points and graduate.
One of the destinations she had to travel to for seven months was Buenos Aires since she did an internship at the Embassy of the United States in Argentina. There she was working in the area of communication.
All this happened in 2001, the year in which the Latin American country suffered a strong social upheaval and a great political and economic crisis. However, that did not affect Meghan Markle since she had already finished her internship and returned to the United States by then.
It was in a dialogue with Craig Ferguson on The Late Late Show that she spoke about this experience and revealed that she speaks very little Spanish since she had to speak English at work. But she there, she also assured that she liked the Argentinian because it reminded her of the Italian.
A year later, Meghan Markle was already dedicated to acting and making her first participation in the General Hospital series. That fact left behind her idea of making a life linked to politics, at least until she met Prince Harry.
