The young man devised a plan for five years to be able to be close to the singer, but he never expected that he would go viral in this way.
Taylor Swift generates fanaticism in her public which few artists achieve. So much so that, at the end of June, when the American singer performed in the city of Minneapolis, one of her followers went viral.
This is Calvin Denker, a young lover of Taylor's music, with a very special peculiarity, he was one of the security guards at Bank Stadium, where the singer presented her Eras Tour.
The young man was recorded singing the song Cruel Summer with his back to Taylor Swift by Alisa Maloney, one of the girls who had gone to the place to enjoy the show and who later uploaded it to TikTok. The next day the video went viral and Calvin became the most famous swiftie in the world.
Seeing such an impact, the young Denker decided to open his own TikTok account to tell how he came to work on the artist's show. Thus, his followers found out that five years ago he had gone to Taylor Swift's Reputation tour and had spoken with several security guards who told him that thanks to his work he was going to several music concerts.
This idea captivated Calvin, so he decided to go on a mission to become a security guard to make sure he was at Swift's next show and he did. “When I went to the first night I was in awe, all the fans were so loud and Taylor was phenomenal. Because of my job, I was not allowed to turn my back on the crowd and really see Taylor's show, ”he commented on his networks.
Seeing that the next day he appreciated several videos of the public, he decided to ask the fans close to him during the second night of the concert, to record it or take photos and send them to him. That's why he made little pieces of paper with his arrobas to deliver. That's how Alisa Maloney was able to capture it on camera.
However, the story did not end well. Shortly after uploading the video telling how he asked people to take pictures of him, he was fired by the security company.
"Human Resources was not able to explain what I had done wrong, beyond asking for photos, which is what happens at any other concert, with the only exception that I made sure they sent me the ones that I was in," alleged the Taylor Swift fan.
However, the company reconsidered and took it back, although with certain conditions. He was transferred to another area of the stadium, he was controlled not to take photos and he even had to work overtime.
