The protagonist of "Friends", Jennifer Aniston, remains firm in defending health measures and vaccines to confront the COVID-19 pandemic.
Jennifer Aniston has surprised her followers with a peculiar decision. The protagonist of "Friends" commented in an interview about her position of stopping seeing friends and acquaintances who have not been vaccinated against COVID-19.
In the interview with "InStyle" magazine, the American actress pointed out that there is a "large group of people who are anti-vaccines or simply do not listen to the facts" and that is why she had "lost some people" in her environment by revealing that she does not they had vaccinated.
These statements fueled the debate on the topic. For this reason, the 52-year-old actress posted in response to a follower who wondered the following: "But if she is vaccinated she is protected, right? Why worry about the unvaccinated around her?"
To which Aniston responded: "Because if you have the variant, you can still infect me. I may get a little sick, but I won't go to a hospital or die. But I can infect someone else who doesn't have the vaccine and whose health is compromised ( or has an existing pre-condition) and would therefore put their lives at risk.
"That's what I worry about. We have to worry about more than ourselves here," added the star of “The Morning Show.”
Jennifer Aniston stands her ground
From the beginning, the actress has always been understanding of how complicated it has been to get used to the use of masks, however, she remains firm in defending health measures and vaccines to face the COVID-19 pandemic.
“I understand that masks are inconvenient and uncomfortable. But don't you think it's worse that companies are closing... jobs are being lost... healthcare workers are reaching absolute exhaustion. And this virus has claimed so many lives because we are not doing enough,” the actress posted.
