The original star of "The Bodyguard" revealed in 2012 that during the mid-'90s, the sequel project for the film had progressed so far that she had even engaged in a phone conversation with Lady Diana. "In a highly respectful exchange, she inquired about the presence of a kissing scene, to which I assured her that such scenes were part of the script, and we were willing to make it work. When it became apparent that the project wouldn't materialize, she encouraged us to proceed, develop the script, and inform her when it was ready, hinting at her potential involvement in a different capacity," the actor recalled regarding her conversation with Princess Diana.
