Season 2 of 'Euphoria' is causing a lot of talk, and there is one scene in particular that Sydney Sweeney says is as unpleasant as it sounds.
Season 2 of Euphoria is reaching its halfway point, and it is certainly giving a lot to talk about. One of the most controversial characters of this season is undoubtedly Cassie, played by actress Sydney Sweeney.
From the very first episode, Cassie puts the audience on edge when she is almost caught having s-x with Nate in her bathroom, and more recently with her being drunk on Maddy's birthday.
Be careful, because if you haven't seen episode 4, there are some spoilers. The fact is that Cassi, during her friend Maddy's birthday party, thinks it's a great idea of hers to take a bath in the jacuzzi.
After a while, her friends join the bathroom, and suddenly, due to the large amount of alcohol she has drunk, Cassie ends up vomiting into the water. Well indeed, as Sydney Sweeney confirms, this scene is as unpleasant as it seems. The actress related in an interview with Decider that "during the jacuzzi scene, during the vomiting, I was very disgusted," she confessed.
"In each take, director Sam Levinson wanted Cassie to drink a different bottle. Then, if you notice, throughout the party she has a completely different bottle in her hands. At the end of that episode, I asked myself, ' 'How many bottles does he carry?', he lost count," he said, referring to his character.
She also told how they managed to film the scene: "They put an invisible tube in my mouth that looked like a horse bridle and I had to hold it and act semi-normally until I vomited on everyone, which was something...disgusting." .
Cassie is definitely hitting rock bottom, in a spiral of rage, heartbreak and remorse and she decides to try to drown her feelings in alcohol, something that of course could not have a good outcome.
Despite everything, the actress admitted that "it was chaotic, but fun. I always like the scenes in which we (the actresses) are all together, because there are almost never group scenes, stuck in the same space."
