In the 80s she was one of the most international English singers, and a romance with a famous bullfighter brought her to Spain in the 90s.
In the 80s, at the height of the tabloids, there were a trio of famous women in the United Kingdom who were, without a doubt, the most persecuted by the press. They were Margareth Thatcher, Lady Di and Samantha Fox. Prime Minister, Princess of Wales and successful singer respectively, the three had in common the continuous interest of the press in their lives.
Samantha had debuted only a few years earlier. At the age of 16 she showed off one of her famous topl-ss dresses for the first time in The Sun newspaper and, at the age of 20, she achieved success on radio and sales charts with her first single, 'Touch me (I want your body').
This was the song that made Samantha Fox a big star and, as such, she began working outside of her country.
On a trip to Spain to film another of her videos, specifically to Marbella in 1990, the singer and model met (and fell madly in love) with the fashionable boy of the time: Rafi Camino. Samantha Fox and the bullfighter had a brief romance, an affair that also opened the doors to the national tabloid press.
At the end of the 90s, his professional decline began
Due to the tough competition from female solo artists in the 90s, with names like Madonna, Kylie Minogue, Whitney Houston and Jennifer Lopez taking the lead, Samantha Fox began to see her career begin to decline and, at the same time, suffered a hard blow: his father and his former manager had defrauded him of just over a million pounds at the time (approximately 1.5 million euros).
In those years, although she released several singles (one of them, a duet with Sabrina Salerno), her television appearances were limited to participating in celebrity contests such as the British version of 'Come dine with me'.
A happy life with his wife and his role as a YouTuber
Last year, Samantha Fox happily announced her wedding to Linda Olsen, her partner for five years.
Since then, the singer and her girl have not been separated: they both live happily in their London home with Adam and Noah, Olsen's two children from a previous relationship that the singer adores as if they were her own.
In fact, she sometimes refers to them as "my son," especially on her YouTube channel, where she involves her followers in her life.
The singer, who continues to be a much-loved figure in Great Britain, today has 118,000 followers on social networks, whom she makes participate in her life and her professional career.
