Expressing her desire to share these historical artifacts with the public and prevent their misuse, Lady Gaga has revealed her intention to open the museum in honor of Michael Jackson's legacy.
The renowned singer emphasized her commitment to continually acquiring significant items that played a pivotal role in Michael Jackson's illustrious career. However, rather than amassing them for personal possession, Lady Gaga plans to exhibit these symbolic objects.
In an interview with the British newspaper Daily Mirror, she conveyed her dedication to preserving the King of Pop's memory and contributing to a foundation that aligns with the ideals he championed in his lifetime.
Lady Gaga articulated her vision, stating, "I am going to open a museum to showcase all the memories and personal items of Michael Jackson that I have amassed over the years, with the goal of channeling all proceeds to a foundation supporting the same ideals he advocated in life.
Now, I am in the process of acquiring some of the most recognizable clothing from his final tours, and, instead of retaining them for myself, I intend to share them with the world."
Furthermore, the 'Mother Monster' singer emphasized her preference for the most distinctive designs from Michael Jackson's last tours. She believes that these outfits carry the energetic imprint of the fans who attended his concerts.
Lady Gaga, drawing parallels with her own experience, explained, "I am sure, because it has happened to me, that the energy of all the fans at a concert is impregnated in those clothes that you wear on stage. That's why I always keep all the designs and accessories from my tours. In this case, I have decided to proudly display those elements that made Michael such an icon," she commented.
