There is no credible evidence to support the rumored death of actor Jason Statham.
Contrary to a post on a website claiming the actor's demise on December 7, Statham remains active on his Instagram account, where he shares videos and photos related to his ongoing film project, 'The Expendables 4.'
The erroneous announcement described his death, stating, “On Tuesday (December 7), at approximately 11 a.m., our beloved actor passed away. Jason Statham was born on September 12, 1967, in Shirebrook (United Kingdom). We will miss him, but we will never forget him.” However, it should be noted that Jason Statham was actually born on July 26, 1967.
No credible sources or media outlets have reported on Jason Statham's supposed death, and there are no messages of condolences from family or friends. Search results mainly yield publications from websites spreading rumors about the actor's death, with misinformation dating back to at least June 2020.
Various false claims have circulated, including reports of his death in a traffic accident or a home invasion murder in New York. These rumors have been debunked multiple times, with the most recent misinformation in August 2021 falsely reporting, "Jason Statham dies at 54."
On December 8, film studio STXfilms released the trailer for "Operation Fortune: Ruse de guerre," featuring Jason Statham, scheduled for release on January 21, 2021. Actress Aubrey Plaza also shared images and videos related to the film's production on Twitter, with no mention of Statham's alleged death.
Jason Statham's activity on Instagram further contradicts the false death claims. On the same day the rumors surfaced, he posted a photo of himself with singer 50 Cent, who is also part of the cast for 'The Expendables 4.' The post praised 50 Cent's talent, disproving the death speculation.
Similarly, 50 Cent shared a photo on Twitter on December 7, featuring Jason Statham and expressing joy about working together on 'The Expendables 4.' There is no indication of any acknowledgment or confirmation of Statham's alleged death.
In addition to Jason Statham, other false death hoaxes have been debunked, including the misleading claim about the Portuguese soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo's death in a traffic accident last October.
