When questioned by fellow actress Reese Witherspoon about Perry's legacy, Aniston expressed a desire for him to be remembered as happy and healthy. She revealed, "He was happy. He was healthy. He had stopped smoking. He was getting in shape. He was happy, that's all I know."

Aniston disclosed that on the very day of Perry's demise, she had been exchanging text messages with him. "I was literally texting him that morning. Funny Matty. He didn't feel pain. He wasn't fighting. He was happy," she said.

Emphasizing Perry's positive strides in health and well-being, Aniston highlighted his hard work and perseverance in the face of challenges. "He was in a chase. He worked very hard. He really faced a difficult situation. I miss him so much. We all do. Wow, he made us laugh a lot," she added.
