In an interview, where he was promoting 'Jim and Andy', his new project, the actor spoke freely about his depression. "At this point, I no longer have depression," he says optimistically. "I've had it for years, but now when the storm comes, it rains, but it doesn't stay. It doesn't stay long enough to sink and drown me." Thus, Jim Carrey seems to have learned to deal with his illness, putting himself before it and preventing it from defeating him.
It's really sad to see the suffering in a star who has made us laugh so much throughout his career. But it looks like he's about to get back to his prime. The president of the American network Showtime, David Newins, with whom they are developing a new series called 'Kidding', has declared that his return will make the audience "wonder how they could have been without him for so long."
