Leah Remini, a former member of Scientology until 2013, has been outspoken about the secretive church and its prominent figure, Tom Cruise.

Leah Remini Alleges Tom Cruise's Involvement in Scientology Punishment

Remini now claims that Cruise personally carried out punishment on a fellow Scientologist under orders from the church leader.

Despite Cruise often being perceived as an innocent party within Scientology, Remini contends that he is more deeply involved than commonly believed. "Most Scientologists are innocent, and I can really say this because I was in it, so I know it by heart," Remini stated in an interview with the Daily Beast.

During her time in the church, Remini was instructed to avoid looking at information critical of Scientology. She explained, "The quote they use is not to forward an enemy line. There are even posts on Facebook from Scientologists saying, 'Don't forward an enemy line.' Don't click on anything."

However, Remini asserts that Cruise's awareness of Scientology's abuses sets him apart. As she describes it, "He is very aware of the abuses that occur in Scientology. He has been part of it."

Cruise's close friendship with current Scientology leader David Miscavige allegedly grants him access to the church's internal operations, including its use of corporal punishment. Remini emphasized, "Scientologists are told that Tom Cruise is single-handedly saving the world, so he is considered a deity within Scientology." Members reportedly refer to Cruise as "Mr. Cruise."

"He is second to David Miscavige, the savior of the free world," Remini continued. "He is aware of the punishments that David Miscavige distributes. There is no way that I am not aware of the things that happen."
